What happens if I fail the competency assessment?
In the event of failure in either the written or skills section of the RBT Competency Assessment, individuals have the option to retake the specific portion.
However, there are specific limitations on the frequency of retakes.
For the written exam, individuals can retake it after a minimum waiting period of 7 days from their previous attempt. Notably, there is no set limit on the number of times an individual can retake the written exam.
As for the skills assessment, individuals must wait at least 30 days before becoming eligible for a retake. Moreover, there's a cap on the number of skills assessment retakes, allowing individuals to attempt it only twice within a 12-month period.
It's essential to note that each retake of either portion of the RBT Competency Assessment incurs a fee. Therefore, comprehensive preparation and a confident approach are advisable to minimize additional costs and enhance the likelihood of passing.
