Do you know about early intervention services?
I'm continuing to share my life journey while providing informative information about early intervention, since I've gained many new followers. In this blog post, I will share my experiences with early intervention services and providing advice for families in regards to early intervention:
After receiving my autism diagnosis ten days before my birthday in the year 2000, my parents were researching ways to get me support for the long run. They noticed I engaged in repetitive behaviors, temper tantrums, self-injurious behavior in which head banging occurred, elopement, etc. It took time before I got approved for early intervention services. Once early intervention services began, these were the ones I received: ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
Early intervention services helped me grow. If I did not get them, I would not be where I'm at today. My advice for families is to look into early intervention services for their child as soon as possible so they can improve and grow on various skills in life.
Here are some benefits of early intervention for neurodiverse children:
Early intervention provides families resources, support, and information.
Early intervention improves social relationships
Early intervention improves access for individual needs
Early intervention makes learning fun! When therapists focus on creating individualized programs with special interests in mind, clients have more fun during therapy services.
